Ginny Tonic

I am a Cincinnati native who moved back to the Queen City after living in California and England for a few years. Although I was kind of a late bloomer in the world of drinking I like to think I am making up for lost time. I had my first manhattan at the age of 24 and fell in love. Finally, there was a drink that I felt cool ordering and I actually liked the taste. Bourbon is my drink of choice and where I geek out the most, but I honestly enjoy all aspects of drinking. The way it brings people together, the way it combines art, science, and culture, the way a nice drink at the end of the day can make the world seem so much better than it did a few minutes before. My area of expertise is spirits and cocktails but I absolutely enjoy beer and wine as well. Any drink can be a good one if it is done well. When I am not writing for Queen City Drinks I co-host two podcasts: an hour long culture podcast called The Charlie Tonic Hour and a shorter all alcohol show called Bottoms Up.
