Last month I had the opportunity to travel to San Diego for the Beer Bloggers Conference and I couldn’t pass up on the chance to make a mini-beercation out of it. I fell in love with the city last time I was there, which you can read about back here, and was stoked to visit it again.
I received a review copy of “The Pocket Beer Guide: The Essential Handbook to the Very Best Beers in the World” which claims to be “An on-the-go, definitive guide to more than 3,000 beers from around the world.” We’ll see if it lives up to those claims.
In honor of my soon to be brother-in-law’s soon to be marriage we headed out to San Diego for the bachelor party! Now my last beercation post about Atlanta really wasn’t a true beercation. It was Christmas vacation in Atlanta where I drank a lot of beer. This time we are going to San Diego solely for awesome breweries, brewpubs, and bars that abound there. While we try to focus on Cincinnati in this blog I want to take a few minutes of your time to talk about beer in Atlanta. Part of my family and a friend have moved to Atlanta over the past few years and the city hosts a decent beer scene. While they don’t have nearly as many breweries as us they do have one that is noticeable more massive. There are also many good bars and beer stores that provide a nice variety of stuff we can’t get here.
